Our Story
RafterRK is a small, family operated business located in the beautiful rural community of Green River Utah.
Owner, Robert (Doc) Nelson has always been drawn to wood working. He worked as a wood shop teacher for almost 20 years, where the students gave him his nickname Doc. When he left teaching he built his own wood shop and thus RafterRK was born.
He and his wife Kaye Nelson design, create, and ensure the quality of every product they sell. Their daughter Robin Hunt helps manage their website and social media accounts.
Their kids Kandice, Robin, Karson and their spouses keep their parents busy with custom requests of their own!
