When our daughter was serving her mission, she requested a keepsake she could give to her companions and zone members she worked closely with. She served in the West Virginia, Charleston mission, but at the time of her request, she was in Virginia. I wanted her keepsake to represent her time in both places, so I chose to use mission boundaries rather than state boundaries. These made great gifts because her companion had served in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Virginia; and she chose to put hearts on hers to indicate the places she served.
